Frequently asked questions

How many treatments will I need?

The number of Kambo sessions you'll need depends on your specific health concerns and/or your overall goal for using Kambo.

I offer specialized, intensive treatment plans designed to address individual needs. Having worked personally with Lyme disease and a number of people suffering with autoimmune illnesses, these cases typically require a more tailored approach and a customized treatment plan. This can be discussed, and I offer discounted rates.

Some individuals find that having a session every 6 weeks is effective for maintenance, while others may feel complete after just one session. It really depends on the person.

If your goal is to achieve something specific with Kambo, like relief from depression or emotional trauma, I recommend committing to at least three sessions. These can be done intensively over a few days or spaced out over several weeks, depending on what works best for you.

How long does a session last?

Is Kambo psychoactive?

How is Kambo applied?

Is it legal?

Depends on the skin type, some people scar, and with some the marks completley fades.

Kambo is applied by lightly touching the skin with a hot piece of vine to remove the very top layer. Tiny dots of kambo are then placed on the skin.

No, neither the frog secretion itself nor its individual peptides or neuropeptides are classified as mind-altering by any international legislation. However, it is a very powerful holistic treatment, and clients may occasionally experience "journeys"—similar to what one might encounter during shamanic journeying. These experiences are typically deep, reflective internal processes.

The Kambo experience is intense, but the good news is it doesn’t last long! Most people finish the purging process within 30-40 minutes, fully recover in under two hours, and are soon able to enjoy some light food. However it varries for everyone and can be longer or shorter. A normal Kambo Ceremony is usully about 3 hours with some time before and after to settle and integrate.

How will I feel afterwards?

I schedule our Kambo sessions in the morning, so you don’t have to fast all day before your treatment (a 12-hour fast is required prior). Afterward, your body needs time to rest. You may feel tired, or even if you're full of energy, as some people are, I recommend taking the rest of the day off from work, going home, and taking it easy to allow the Kambo to do its work.

You will be fine to drive and travel, but part of giving full respect to this medicine is alowing some space before and after to prepare and intigrate.

The next day is when you'll likely feel the full effects of the treatment. You may notice increased energy, a positive shift in your mood, and greater mental clarity.

Is Kambo toxic?

Kambo is not toxic to the human body and is not a poison. Kambo is sometimes referred to as a 'Poison' in the media due to the purging effects, it is in fact a secretion packed full of potent bioactive peptides that have great positive effects on the human system. So much so that over 70 have been identified and synthetically recreated by pharmaceutical companies

Kambo is legal in all countries in the world, with the exception of Australia
