Mindful Foraging

Nature is not just something we go into to find peace, beauty and escape. Nature is our external body, It is half of ourselves, and we would not be able to live without her.

She provides the air we breathe, food we eat and water we drink, we ourselves are nature. If we become disconnected from this truth and start to forget our great natural world that sustains us, and all life, we start to lose touch with a vital part of ourselves too.

In mindful foraging, we go for a walk. This is no ordinary walk, where we blaze past our surroundings. We begin with centring and a short meditation before walking together in a silent guided walking meditation, for the first part, then continue mindfully and quietly. I will point out edible and medicinal plants as we walk, and you can ask questions. While remaining within the spirit of attentive awareness.

This is a wonderful way to reconnect and continue to deepen your connection with this beautiful earth, as you can continue to forage and do more mindful walks on your own, taking that quiet time in nature and finding some of her treasures, with further opportunities for group sessions announced here and on the mailing list.
